Gubat Banwa (tn. War Realms) is a tabletop role-playing game about warrior-martial artists, fighting for their convictions in a tumultuous, vibrant world. You play as Kadungganan (tn. Honorable), sought after for your strength and prowess, and watched over by powers unseen who recognize the weight of your actions. This is a True First Edition Quickstart of the upcoming corebook - successfully Kickstarted in 2023  - and features tactical grid combat war drama set in a mythic classical Southeast Asia. Most of the gameplay will center around combat and the intricate relationships that arise as a consequence of the setting, in the vein of L5R, Final Fantasy Tactics,  Burning Wheel and Legend of the Northern Blade. 

Included with your copy are:

• Core Mechanics to run a barebones campaign, especially with the addition of Kadungganan Creation. This includes:
• Drama rules where Kadungganan challenge the world, accrue debt and honor, gain favor and disfavor, and navigate factions throughout seasons and cycles, using d8 pools and trackers.
• Combat rules for grid-based violent encounters, where both Kadungganan and foes follow their own Martial Path: learning martial traditions under their Guro's tutelage. The quickstart contains progression for five Disciplines.
• Grasp The Dragon’s Maw, a ready-to-play adventure good for one to two sessions for 3-6 player Kadungganan. Datu Panasukah of the Many Gilded Hands enlists your warband's help to kill Suwuk, the Raider Prince.
• Original tracks by ONEFLOOR to play for Dragon's Maw scenes
• A pack of 20 sprites by Togidemi to use with Grasp the Dragon's Maw in your virtual tabletop of choice (or to print out for your table)
• A Kadungganan Keeper on Google Sheets

Gubat Banwa First Edition Core  is set to have comprehensive lore pages, more illustrations, as well as all 25 of the of the planned playable disciplines.
